PUNTA PACIFICA, PANAMA
When it comes to ultimate luxury, Punta Pacifica in Panama is the place to be, a piece of reclaimed land that has become the stronghold of the most extraordinary and luxurious skyscrapers, and with the Trump Ocean Club in its area since 2011, a 284 meter high building with 70 floors.
Punta Pacifica has 18 skyscrapers, including at least six of the 20 highest constructions in Panama and perhaps in Latin America. These are: the Trump Ocean Club (284 m), Aqualina Tower (210 m) and 63 floors, Aquamare (198 m) 56 floors, Venetian Tower (192 m) 47 floors, Bahia Pacifica (185 m) 48 floors and Pacific Village (178.9 m) of 47 floors.
Punta Pacifica is an area which is still under development. Their emphasis is on the real estate sector, in a peninsula that borders the financial center and the surrounding residential area of Punta Paitilla, a land reclaimed from the sea.
The Corredor Sur highway works as a link to the rest of the city, and it’s a 15 minute drive to the Tocumen International Airport.
This particular area has the most luxurious and exclusive residential buildings, and you can also find the Multiplaza Pacific mall, where the fanciest shops are located. Some influential International Organizations from the financial and investment world around the globe also have their corporative headquarters in the Punta Pacifica area.
Also located in this area is the most prestigious hospital in Panama, Punta Pacifica Hospital. This is the only health care center in partnership with John Hopkins Medicine International in Central America. Pharmacies, clinical laboratories, specialized centers, and different kinds of health centers are also located in Punta Pacifica, Panama.
It is in this area where the Corredor Sur was born, and it’s from where ferries leave to the islands of Las Perlas, Contadora and Saboga (three large high level tourist areas).
